KEM Cat 6a SSTP cable (black)
KEM Cat 6a SSTP cables are very high quality and very well shielded cables. The cable is made of oxygen-free copper cores, of which the core pairs are separately shielded with foil. In addition, all pairs together are also provided with a foil. As a result, all cores are actually provided with a double foil shield.
SSTP is also called PiMF in some areas of the world and in the Netherlands, both basically mean the same thing. SSTP stands for Separate Shielded Twisted Pair and PiMF stands for Pairs in Metal Foil. It therefore indicates that all cores are actually double shielded. As a result, EMI (electro magnetic interference) and RFI (radio frequency interference) signals don’t really stand a chance and you can be quite sure that the signal will be virtually interference-free at maximum speed.
As indicated, the cores are made of oxygen-free copper, they have a thickness of AWG26 and reach a speed of 500 MHz, the resistance of the cable is 100 Ohm and of course the cables are Halogen free. In short, a very good cable for use at home, but certainly also in the office.
