Description
flexible Cat 6 UTP cable (twisted pair) on a 100 meter roll, available in various colours. This Cat 6 cable is unshielded and the easiest cable to squeeze an RJ45 connector on.
Cat 6 UTP cables, or rather the UTP or Network cables anyway, are actually available in various versions, in which the shielding mainly plays a role. The name indicates which shielding a Cat cable has, we have listed these below, there may be more versions, but these are the most common.
Cat 6 UTP – An unshielded network cable
Cat 6 FTP – A single shielded cable (foil shield)
Cat 6 SSTP – A multi-shielded cable, foil shield on the core pairs and a foil shield on the entire cable.
For home use the Cat 6 UTP or FTP cable is actually the most commonly used cable, in building cabling and situations where the cable is pulled through the same conduit as a power cable used with mainly SSTP. With the SSTP cable you have the least chance of interference from the outside, which a power cable could give off.
Of course, the shielded cables are finished with shielded (shielded connectors)
