The Blackmagic Mini Converter – Audio to SDI 4K allows you to embed 4 channels of analog audio or 8 channels of AES/EBU digital audio into an SDI video signal. The converter features a 6G-SDI input capable of resolutions up to Ultra HD and DCI 4K and four 1/4″ audio inputs for connecting analog or digital audio sources. The SDI signal with embedded audio is output through a single 6G-SDI connector with the same resolution and frame rate as the original signal.
Maximum compatibility
The 6G-SDI technology supports Ultra HD and DCI 4K resolutions up to 30fps. The Mini Converter also offers support for Single Link SD, HD and 3G-SDI signals. The converter automatically detects which signal is being input and automatically switches between them. An extra SDI connection is available as a backup for in case the signal on the main SDI connection drops.For maximum compatibility, the converter complies with SMPTE 292M, SMPTE 259M, SMPTE 296M, SMPTE 372M, SMPTE 425M, SMPTE ST-2036, ITU-R BT.656 and ITU- R BT.601 standards.
Control via software or DIP switches
The settings of the Blackmagic Mini Converter – Audio to SDI 4K can be changed via the built-in DIP switches or via USB using the supplied software for Mac OS X or Windows. The USB port makes it possible to update the firmware. The converter is powered by the included AC adapter.
